PersonRemover

What It Does

PersonRemover is an AI-powered photo editing tool that removes unwanted people from images in seconds. Whether it's tourists cluttering your travel photos, photobombers in group shots, or crowds in street photography, PersonRemover uses advanced AI inpainting to detect and erase people while automatically reconstructing the background. Upload a photo, select or brush over the people you want gone, and download a clean result — no Photoshop expertise required.

Who It's For

PersonRemover is built for travelers, photographers, content creators, and anyone who needs to clean up photos quickly without learning complex editing software. If you've ever had a perfect landmark shot ruined by a stranger walking through the frame, or a group photo photobombed by someone in the background, this tool solves that problem in under a minute.

Key Features & Capabilities

• Automatic Person Detection — AI identifies people in your photo automatically; click to select who stays or goes • Manual Brush Mode — Paint over specific people, limbs, hair, or edges for precise control • Background Reconstruction — Advanced diffusion-based inpainting rebuilds sky, architecture, streets, and textured surfaces behind removed people • HD Output — Supports images up to 3840px on the long edge and ~8.3 megapixels, with results generated in HD quality • Multiple Removal Types — Remove background people, photobombers, crowds, tourists, or isolate individuals from group shots • Sticker & Overlay Removal — Erase emoji, stickers, chat bubbles, and overlay graphics from screenshots and photos • One-Click Workflow — Upload, select, download — the entire process takes 30 seconds with no software installation

Typical Workflows

1. Travel Photography — Clear tourists from landmark shots so monuments and scenery stand alone, with sky and pavement filled back in naturally
2. Group Photo Editing — Remove the extra person who wandered into your group selfie without cropping the frame or leaving awkward gaps
3. Street Photography Cleanup — Erase pedestrians and crowds from urban scenes while preserving architecture and street details
4. Portrait Isolation — Cut one person out of a busy background to create standalone portraits or prepare images for compositing
5. Screenshot Cleanup — Remove stickers, reactions, and overlay text from social media screenshots and messaging app captures

Integrations

PersonRemover runs entirely in the browser as a web application with no plugins or desktop software required. A Chrome extension is also available for quick access. The tool accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to ~10 MB and delivers results instantly through the web interface.

What Sets It Apart

Unlike traditional Photoshop workflows that require manual clone stamping and healing brush work, PersonRemover automates background reconstruction with modern AI inpainting models. It bridges the gap between complex desktop software and limited mobile apps by offering both automatic person detection and manual brush control in a single web-based tool. Free removals produce HD results with a watermark; a $1.99 one-time unlock removes the watermark from the same HD result without reprocessing.
