xAI has introduced a new product called Grok Bot. The company describes it as an AI teammate rather than a standard chatbot. Instead of answering a question and stopping, Grok Bot is built to finish entire tasks on its own.
The tool works differently from most AI assistants. Each Bot gets its own computer in the cloud. This lets it keep working even after a person closes the app or steps away.
Grok Bot can log into tools, websites, and inboxes the same way a person would. This includes platforms that do not have a clean API or plugin connection. The company says this lets Bots complete jobs end to end, then return only when something needs a human decision.
How People Are Using It
Inside the company, teams have used Grok Bot for sales outreach, marketing tasks, office operations, and bug fixes. One example involves a sales Bot updating a customer database with call notes and writing follow-up messages.
Another example describes an operations Bot handling new hire paperwork and processing invoices sent through email. A third involves an engineering Bot finding a bug in a product, filing a ticket, and passing the fix to another Bot built for debugging.
Users can talk to a Bot the same way they would message a coworker. There is no setup process or workflow builder required. A person can simply describe the task and hand it off.
The company says this removes a common hurdle with AI tools, which often require users to build automations before getting useful results.
Multiple Bots Can Work Together
According to the company, employees often run more than one Bot at a time. In these cases, one Bot can act as a lead, overseeing others that specialize in different tasks. Examples include a Bot for inbox management, one for expenses, and another for recruiting.
Bots can message each other directly and share updates without a person passing notes between them. They can also be placed together in a group chat, where they coordinate tasks and only bring in a human when a judgment call is needed.
The company also highlighted a training method for the tool. Users can walk a Bot through a task once, and it will remember the steps for future use. Over time, the Bot applies corrections and repeats the process without needing new instructions each time.
Grok Bot is also designed to grow more independent the longer someone uses it. Early users said they had to check in frequently at first, but reduced oversight as the tool learned their habits and preferences.
The company says Bots eventually start flagging issues on their own, following up on stalled tasks, and picking up dropped conversations without being asked.
Grok Bot is currently in beta. It is available for SuperGrok Heavy subscribers, along with Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium users, on both desktop and iOS. Enterprise access has not opened yet, but a waitlist is available for companies that want to sign up for future rollout.
