Adobe Firefly AI Background Remover makes it easy to isolate the main subject of an image without complicated editing or manual masking. Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WEBP file, and Firefly automatically identifies the subject and removes the surrounding background, giving you a transparent PNG that can be used across creative projects.

The tool is useful for a wide range of images, including product photos, portraits, people, pets, illustrations, and marketing graphics. It automatically detects subject edges while retaining important details such as hair, fur, fine outlines, and other intricate areas. This makes it useful for e-commerce images, social media graphics, profile photos, thumbnails, presentations, and other visual content.

Background removal is also only one part of the Firefly workflow. How to use it:

Sign in to Adobe Firefly with a free Adobe account, open the Image module, upload your photo under the Edit tab, select Remove Background from Quick Actions, and download the resulting image.
