Ramp Enters UK Market With Visa Card Partnership

Ramp announced on September 15, 2026 that it has launched its finance platform in the UK. The move gives UK businesses access to tools for managing corporate cards, expenses, bill payments, procurement, travel, and treasury.

This marks Ramp's first major expansion outside North America. The company entered Canada in July 2026, just two months before this UK launch.

More than 70,000 companies already use Ramp's platform. Customers include Shopify, Virgin Voyages, ElevenLabs, and Attio.

According to Ramp, the median customer saves 5% on expenses. The same customers see revenue grow by 16% in their first year on the platform.

Ramp built its UK entry on regulated payments infrastructure. In March 2026, the company acquired Billhop, a payments platform based in Stockholm and London.

That acquisition gave Ramp payments authorization in both the UK and the EU. The company now runs offices in London and Stockholm.

Jacob Wallenberg, VP of International Expansion at Ramp, said the UK is home to some of the fastest growing companies in Europe. He said the company built its product to match that pace.

UK Customers Already Using the Platform

ElevenLabs, a UK based AI voice agents company, has been using Ramp since the summer. The company runs bill pay, corporate cards, and AI token spend management through the platform.

Ramp said automation now codes 99% of ElevenLabs' invoices and 99.8% of its card transactions. That has saved the company's three person finance team about 24 hours a month.

Attio, a company headquartered in London, has also adopted Ramp to consolidate its finance operations. The company uses Ramp for corporate cards and expense oversight.

Ramp is also working with Visa on its corporate card offering in the UK. The partnership pairs Ramp's spend management platform with Visa's payments network.

Lucy Demery, SVP and Head of Visa Commercial Solutions for Europe, said the UK is one of the most active markets for business payments and fintech.

Rising AI Spending Drives New Tools

Ramp's UK launch comes as AI spending among its customers has grown roughly 21 times since June 2025. The heaviest spenders on AI have seen costs rise 50% or more each quarter.

Wallenberg said the issue is not that companies are spending too much on AI. He said the real problem is that spending is not tracked clearly.

Ramp's newer token spend tools break down AI costs by model and team. The tools also separate cost of goods sold from operating expenses and flag unusual spending.

The UK launch follows a busy quarter of product releases for Ramp. These include Ramp Stack for accounting firms, stablecoin payments in USDC and USDT, token spend management, and a tool called Router that matches requests to lower cost AI models.

Ramp also raised $750 million in June 2026 at a $44 billion valuation. The company was founded in 2019 and now processes more than $200 billion in purchases annually.
