Chatbot Arena, formerly known as LMSYS, is an open platform developed by researchers from UC Berkeley SkyLab and LMSYS. It enables users to interact with and compare various large language models (LLMs) in a dynamic, multi-agent environment. The platform facilitates blind testing, where users can ask questions to two anonymous AI chatbots and vote on their preferred responses, contributing to the benchmarking and evaluation of AI models. This crowdsourced approach aids in assessing the capabilities of LLMs in areas such as spatial reasoning, strategic planning, numerical reasoning, risk assessment, communication, opponent modeling, and team collaboration.
